Vlad leads design at Masterly. He sets the bar for every project the studio ships, reviews the work before a client sees it, and owns the calls a designer cannot make alone: what to cut, what to defend, and when a screen is finished.

That judgment is the product. Clients hire an agency and receive a team, and the team holds a line because someone is accountable for where the line sits.

Where he comes from

Vlad spent ten years designing where the stakes were highest: he led the accounts of Meta, Ray-Ban, Amazon and Reddit, and designed the early product of a SaaS startup that went on to raise $200M.

Two habits survived that decade. Speed without sloppiness, because enterprise clients accept neither slow nor broken. And a rule he still applies in every review: a screen either moves a business number or it stays a draft.

How he runs design

Masterly works with B2B SaaS, fintech, healthtech, and AI companies from Series A to Series D, on fixed-scope projects and monthly retainers. Vlad co-founded the studio in 2022 and runs its design practice today.

The work covers product UX/UI, brand identity, marketing sites, and sales collateral: everything a company ships that a user or an investor judges. The scoreboard stays the same two numbers, activation and retention.

Design leadership here means codified standards. The studio ships against its own frameworks, among them a 6-Layer UX Audit, Impact Tiers for triaging what a review finds, and a Growth Design Model for turning a flow into a loop you can measure. Each one survives only while it keeps producing better decisions than a designer would reach without it.

Recognition

The studio's work has won Red Dot, NYX, Vega, Indigo, MUSE, and Online Design Awards, and appeared in Dribbble's Best Shots of the Year. Awards retain no users, and they remain a decent proxy for craft.
